What We Do

Destination Programs: Expanding Access to Education

Destination Diploma

In collaboration with Child Crisis Arizona, Mathew’s Crossing Food Bank, and the Chandler Unified School District (CUSD), and generously funded by Dignity Health, the Destination Diploma program is a vital initiative aimed at empowering students who are experiencing homelessness to achieve academic success. These students face dropout rates three times higher than their peers, making targeted support crucial.

This unique program offers unhoused CUSD students essential resources such as food, clothing, personal hygiene products, tutoring, and a monthly stipend. In return, students commit to maintaining their grades and attendance, fostering a path to graduation and a brighter future.

Destination College

Discover the pathway to college with Destination College! A joint initiative by Chandler Gilbert Community College, Chandler Unified School District, and Chandler Education Foundation, Destination College opens doors to higher education for all students.

For many, college seems like a distant dream, but with Destination College, it becomes a tangible reality. Designed especially for students from six Chandler Unified School District elementary schools, this program offers a unique summer experience. Incoming 6th graders are invited to immerse themselves in a college environment for three weeks, exploring everything from coding and robotics to science.

Participating schools include Shumway Leadership Academy, Hartford Sylvia Encinas Elementary, Frye Elementary, Galveston Elementary, San Marcos Elementary, and Bologna Elementary.
