KBC Foundation Scholarship - Maricopa Community College

The KBC Foundation is proud to offer a one-time scholarship of $1,000 to support a Perry High student who plans to attend a Maricopa Community College. This scholarship aims to support a student’s pursuit of higher education and career development at a community college within the Maricopa County Community College District.
Eligibility:
To be eligible for The KBC Foundation Maricopa Community College Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Current student at Perry High School, graduating from Perry High in May 2025.
- Plan to attend one of the Maricopa Community Colleges (e.g., Chandler Gilbert Community College, Mesa Community College, Scottsdale Community College, etc.) beginning in the summer or fall following their high school graduation.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 by the application deadline.
- Letter of recommendation from a teacher, school counselor, or mentor who can speak to your academic abilities, character, and personal growth during your time in high school. The letter should highlight why you are a strong candidate for this scholarship.
- Statement highlighting significant personal growth throughout their high school years. This includes how they have overcome challenges, matured, and/or developed both academically and personally.
- Statement explaining the skills and knowledge they expect to gain by attending Maricopa Community College and how this education will support their long-term career goals.
Selection:
The scholarship selection committee will review all applications based on the following factors:
- Academic performance and GPA (minimum of 2.5 cumulative GPA required)
- Personal growth demonstrated in the Personal Growth Statement
- Clarity and thoughtfulness of the Educational and Career Goals Statement
- Strength of the Letter of Recommendation
- Commitment to attending a Maricopa Community College
Before the financial award can be disbursed, the recipient must provide proof of enrollment at a Maricopa Community College. If proof of enrollment is not provided, the scholarship will be forfeited, and the funds may be awarded to another eligible candidate.
