Cash for Classrooms Enrichment Grants
At the Chandler Education Foundation (CEF), we know that the best ideas come from those closest to the students. Chandler Unified School District (CUSD) teachers are brimming with innovative plans to enhance learning, and CEF is here to turn those ideas into reality.
Each year, CEF invites educators from across the district to apply for Cash For Classrooms Enrichment Grants, offering up to $3,000 per award. These grants support resources and experiences that make learning more engaging and impactful, directly benefiting student engagement and academic outcomes.
Our grant applications are carefully reviewed by a diverse team including CEF board members, staff, and CUSD leaders. The most compelling applications, those that clearly meet student needs and demonstrate potential impact, are awarded based on available funding. Grant winners are announced each October by the 'Woohoo Patrol', which makes surprise visits to the classrooms.

Grant Application
Cash for Classrooms grant applications can be submitted through the CEF application platform.
For the 2024-2025 academic year, grant applications will open on July 29 and close for evaluation on August 23. Grant awards of up to $3,000 are available for resources supporting classroom, grade, or whole school initiatives.
Note that applications for books, supplementary materials, or technology must have pre-approval to ensure compliance with CUSD, state and federal guidelines. For pre-approval, please visit this page.
We know our teachers are busy guiding, instructing, and grading so we purposefully keep the application succinct. Staff can draft and save their applications, gathering information to help the committee make their decisions, until they are ready to submit.
The lucky recipients will be notified in October.
